So is the support gun attached to the Gliders then? I had assumed that it would be there with the Paras.

Well if you like, the Paras can use the BAR and the Gliders can use the .30?

Just thinking from a mobility point of view, I struggled a lot at the Gulch game when I was left alone with it hehe

It does make more 'sense' for the Paras to have the .30cal, if you'll forgive a bit of musing from myself. Glider regiments did have .30cals, and more so after post Normandy reorganisations, but the PIRs had more of them, and also (though the info on battalion structure I have been able to find is less then marvelous) had a tendency to use the .30cals within squads - Though if someone knows any more about this?
Glider = more equipment and concentration, which equals more heavy machine guns in support of a standard infantry squad.

Plus I am very interested to see the relationship between a US squad - with firepower focused around the M1 rifle - and a German Gruppe(?) with the firepower focused on an MG42.

Unless you magically aquire a shiny new garand?

Well Spiers had to go off to command, and the young Dog Co. lad who was assigned to carry the tripod got bored after 5 minutes and ran off to blast something with his thompson.

Hence the pic of me carrying everything!

On all of it? It would be an essay. :?

I'll concise-ulate what I've been looking at...

Where's the essay got to?
